We made it through another busy but fun week in 4K. On Thursday, we attended the production of Rainbow Fish at Waterford Union High School. We had to sit in the very top row of the auditorium. The kids thought this was awesome! Mrs. Jacobson was a nervous wreck! The kids did a wonderful job listening and enjoying the play. The only thing they did not understand is what Rainbow Fish was a boy. Most were expecting a girl. Interesting how their "little" brains work. Today was Super Fun Awesome Day. We participated in a drum circle with Mr. Voss, used Sharpies to color tiles (they turned out amazing), had Kona Ice Treats, and did a STEM experiment. It certainly was a Super Fun Awesome Day!
Camp Read A lot is coming up next Friday, June 3rd. Students may bring blankets or sleeping bags and books to use to pretend we are camping. Due to 4K going home at 11:30 on Friday, we will not watch Clifford the Big Red Dog on Thursday. Students may bring their blankets or sleeping bag for the movie. I will send them home after Camp Read A lot on Friday.
PALS testing is finished. I am so proud of the kid's progress. Sixteen out of eighteen students have met all developmental ranges on the PALS assessment. Keep practicing over the summer to ensure continual progress.
We will be celebrating Mrs. Ward's birthday in our classroom on Tuesday. We will also be celebrating any summer birthdays. If your child has a summer birthday and you want to send a treat, please do so.
Learning Without Tears
We continued practicing lowercase letters, words, and sentences! We finished writing numerals 1-10 .
Math
We will practice all the concepts we have learned throughout the remainder of the school year.
Snacks
Please send your child a daily (healthy) snack and water.
